Premature due September 2026
Sonorous Films has announced that its debut feature film Premature will be released in cinemas this September.
The contemporary Scottish romantic comedy is set to reach audiences later this year, marking a major milestone for the company.
Set and shot in Glasgow, Premature follows two flatmates navigating an unexpected pregnancy after a one-night stand. Blending humour with honest, character-driven storytelling, the film explores ambition, self-determination and unpredictability through a millennial lens.
The film has already begun building strong momentum ahead of its release. Its trailer has generated over 130,000 organic views across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, with particularly strong engagement from younger audiences. Early test screenings have also received an enthusiastic response, with audiences praising the film’s performances, tone and relatability.
Writer, director and producer Kevin Walls said: “We made Premature to connect with audiences, so bringing it to cinemas is incredibly exciting. This has been a truly collaborative effort, and we can’t wait for people to experience it together on the big screen.”
Additional details, including screening dates and ticket information, will be shared in the coming months.
